About the Author:

Jim Zoetewey writes The Legion of Nothing. Jim grew up in Holland, Michigan, near where L Frank Baum wrote The Wizard of Oz. Admittedly, Baum moved away more than sixty years before Jim was even born, but it’s still kind of cool. He majored in religion and sociology at Hope College, eventually getting a masters in sociology and all but three credits of a masters in Information Systems. He also enjoys running, training in the martial arts, playing bass guitar, and walking his dog. Oh... And for readers who might be his wife, he feels that he should mention that he's fond of her too.

Did Nerd Fight get cut? If so, I’m glad, because honestly, the last few ‘fights’ were more like ‘Oh, we actually totally agree on this topic’. Verbal arguments are only really entertaining when one or more sides are unreasonable.

I know that Drew has only his writing to live on, at the moment, and that Jim fits in his writing with his job, but what other combinations of paid writing, non-paid writing, and paid other work do you guys do, maybe in an average week? Also, what proportions of your income comes from writing and your websites, and what comes from other work?

Oh, and as for a trope, how about the Lightning Can Do Anything? Like, where lightning strikes a machine, and it just malfunctions enough to create some catastrophe, rather than just turning off/being destroyed.

Nerdfight didn’t get cut, exactly, but we agree with you. We’re saving it for times when we’re confident that one of us can be unreasonable. 😀

Heh. So it’s only rational to have nerd fights when at least some of the arguments will be irrational?
