Episode 1: Favorite Unpopular Superhero, Man of Steel, Throwing the Gun

Welcome to the first episode of “Throwing the Gun,” the Pen and Cape Society’s podcast. Here we’ll be talking about superheroes in all their formats–books, comics, movies and television.

In this episode, we’ll talk about our favorite least popular superhero, argue about the film Man of Steel, and explain the trope that names the podcast.

Listen in as we try to figure out what we’re doing, argue, and occasionally say something insightful about the genre.

About the Author:

Jim Zoetewey writes The Legion of Nothing. Jim grew up in Holland, Michigan, near where L Frank Baum wrote The Wizard of Oz. Admittedly, Baum moved away more than sixty years before Jim was even born, but it’s still kind of cool. He majored in religion and sociology at Hope College, eventually getting a masters in sociology and all but three credits of a masters in Information Systems. He also enjoys running, training in the martial arts, playing bass guitar, and walking his dog. Oh... And for readers who might be his wife, he feels that he should mention that he's fond of her too.

I really thought you guys did a great job with this. Way to stay on track and keep it moving. I’m looking forward to hearing the next episode. If I had one bit of constructive criticism it would simply be technical. Two people were very very easy to hear and two were very quiet which poses an issue when you have to crank up the volume only to have the next person blaring in your ear buds. That’s it though, great job.

if the supper was a fae the lead bullets might be useless, but the steal gun might do some good.

Jim should have a fed in a sute try to stop the rocker and then throw the gun with a demand to know why he has gone bad.
the gun heats with a sent of burning and breaks the glamor to show it was a fae trying to frame the main character.

day save because the gun was thrown!!!! :))

great pod cast keep it up!!!! all of you!!!
