Carrying Arms and Armor into Battle

Perhaps you are a gamer (many PCS authors are gamers) or maybe you are like Drew Hayes and write fantasy novels. Then YouTuber scholagladiatoria has a great video for you. Using historical records and common sense, he explains what a soldier, mercenary, or maybe a Middle-Earth Dwarf would and would not take on an adventure. He also explains why you really need a horse if you have armor, pole-arms, and missile weapons.

What about the ten foot pole? You gotta have one of them.

I’d also suggest Skallagrim for a lot of weapon-related stuff, including testing the effectiveness of certain fantasy weapons.
